Saturday's Free Kona Bike Demo To Feature The "Stinky Deluxe"
Kona Bicycle Company demo day to feature the Stinky Deluxe model with dual suspension. Event to be held at Mt Baldy Ski Area.
ALTA LOMA, CA, August 28, 2009 /Outdoors PR News/ -- Kona Bicycle Company will be hosting a free demo bike day this Saturday August 29th 2009.
The event will be held from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Top of the Notch Restaurant located at the top of chair 1 of the Mt Baldy Ski Lifts.
Kelly Steelman will be on hand to answer any questions. A former pro racer in the mid 80's to the early 90's Kelly has been with Kona for 10 years as their "North American Bike Park Guy".
The featured bike will be the out of bounds dual suspension Stinky Deluxe. Also available for demo will be some 29 inch bikes for cross country enthusiasts.
Demos are free, but each rider must have a helmet and a valid drivers license. Under age riders will require parental permission.
Kona Bicycle Company is also one of the sponsors for the upcoming Redhook California Duathlon to be held at Mt Baldy on September 12th 2009. The duathlon combines a 10 mile biking and 3 mile running events in one race at high altitude where competitors will be biking and running at elevations between 7,500 and 8,500 feet.
Mt Baldy can be reached by taking the Mountain exit in Upland off the 210 Freeway and going north following signs to Mt Baldy Resorts. Alternatively take the Baseline exit in Claremont and go north on Padua. Turn right on Mt Baldy Road taking that all the way through the Village. Mt Baldy Road dead ends in the Ski Lift parking lot.
